An exciting vacancy has arisen for a well organised and motivated Production Controller to join a busy publisher/packager in central London on a 6 month contract.

Reporting into the Production Manager, the purpose of this role is to provide the company will a high level of production, purchasing and technical services.

You will be managing your own titles, comprising of reprints, co-editions and front list. You will be responsible for ensuring that schedules are adhered to and product is delivered on time, providing suppliers with accurate orders, quality control of material, checking and marking up proofs, offering advice on technical and production requirements both internally and externally , researching and recommending the use of new technology, as well as providing general administration support.

Ideally you will come from a trade publishing background; you will be a well organised individual with proven production experience. You can work well under pressure and enjoy being part of a busy production team.

 InDesign knowledge would be advantageous as would a familiarity with novelty titles.
