Description:

A renowned STM publisher in London urgently needs a Product Manager to develop their journals’ website and peer review tools. This role will support the scientific communities publishing needs and demands a candidate with a passion for online technology. Please note this is a contract role for six months.

Key duties:

• Manage and monitor the journal websites ensuring all information is scheduled efficiently
• Develop strong working relationships with clients and understand their requirements
• Liaise closely with developers for accurate technical specifications
• Coordinate all user acceptance testing
• Met client goals according to company strategy and vision
• Report all progress regularly to the business
• Keep up to date with trends in technology on online delivery systems

Experience / skills required:

• Proven product management experience in an (STM) publishing environment
• Firm understanding of the peer review  process
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret complex info to others
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
• Good experience of forming good working relationships with senior scientists and management
• Understanding of/experience of open access publishing
• Excellent IT skills
• Knowledge/ experience in an Agile development environment is desirable
