Our client is looking to appoint a Publisher to take strategic responsibility for their modern foreign languages list, working closely with a Commissioning Editor and the in-house technical development team to plan, commission and deliver market leading products for the secondary market. The MFL list is currently at the forefront of online resource delivery for the company’s and this Publisher role provides a unique opportunity for a creative self-starter to build on its success. The company is looking for someone with a strong track record of delivering profitable market relevant resources to the educational publishing sector. Specific knowledge of either French or Spanish is not essential, but applicants must demonstrate an understanding of the needs of language learners and language teachers. Candidates must also be innovative, with experience of producing multimedia/digital content.　 A good understanding of publishing processes for both print and digital products is expected, and applicants must demonstrate commercial awareness, strong relationship building skills, market research ability and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in multi-faceted teams.
