Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for three outstanding graduates to gain experience within the Middle East’s largest educational publishing group (established 1946), working in their Lebanon office in the suburbs of Beirut.  The position involves editing text books for the Arab World for the group’s growing Maths & Science list.  Contracts are for two years, with the possibility of extension thereafter.

Key duties:

• Working under supervision, responsible for editing textbooks for the primary and secondary Arab world schools markets
• Copy-editing and proofreading manuscripts and revising texts in accordance with specific guidelines
• Liaising with designers and colleagues in production
• Attending and contributing to meetings with internal colleagues and with external clients

Experience / skills required:

• A good degree in either Maths or Science from a UK university
• Excellent eye for detail
• First-class verbal and written communication skills
• Experience of working in a busy office environment
• Willingness to relocate essential
