Have you strong journal development experience and a commercial focus? If so, then this role could be for you.  This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the success of a well established publishing house that specialises in producing reputable research journals for professionals in the technology and engineering industry. Our client is seeking a Journals Development Editor to join their friendly team based a commutable distance from London.

In this role, you will be involved in subject matters such as science, engineering and technology. You will develop projects by project managing an existing range of 22 peer-reviewed research journals, identify and assess potential new areas of interest; develop proposals for potential products and/or acquisitions; ensure accepted papers are published on time and to the expected standard and manage journal quality.  You will also represent the journals at national and international conferences and events, as well as liaise closely with internal departments to ensure production, promotion, marketing and sales links are at maximum levels of effectiveness.

The successful candidate will be commercially astute with proven experience of managing highquality research journals and new title development (or commissioning).  You will be an excellent written and verbal communicator and have knowledge of e-workflows in journal publishing. You will have attention to detail and will be able to use your strong organizational skills to juggle multiple projects.
