Hodder & Stoughton is one of the UK’s leading trade publishers whose authors include international bestsellers John Grisham, David Mitchell, Stephen King, Jodi Picoult and Pierre Dukan. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and driven Sales Manager to join our International team.
Reporting to the Head of International Sales, you will have responsibility for growing ambitious sales in Europe, with particular focus on developing new business channels. Driving our international digital and online strategy will be a key component of the role and will require working closely with a variety of departments. Good communication and negotiation skills are essential, and a creative approach to the selling process is paramount. Your role will entail up to 12 weeks of overseas travel, including attendance at relevant international bookfairs.
You will have good sales experience with in trade publishing, along with a strategic understanding of the European markets and a strong business acumen. Determined and results driven, you’ll join a high performing sales team that is always looking to overachieve in rapidly evolving markets.
