A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a leading trade publisher of high-quality illustrated books on a wide variety of popular subjects. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director this role will be responsible for the marketing across all imprints and will manage the department including 2 members of staff.
Responsibilities will typically include managing the yearly marketing budget, overseeing Catalogues issues (monitoring new titles, overseeing the design, layout, format etc); working closely with the Sales and PR teams to ensure effective marketing material is produced in time for presentations, book launches, promotions etc; monitoring the workloads of marketing staff – setting targets, ensuring marketing plans are carried through etc. You will also be responsible for online marketing, including the company website and social networking sites; videos and viral marketing and explore cross promotional activities with licenses. You will also be responsible for targeted advertising of your product to the trade.
This is a great opportunity for a talented, and experienced marketing professional with trade book experience looking for the next step, a new challenge and a chance to put all your marketing expertise into practice. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with demonstrable relevant experience in a senior marketing role within trade publishing. You will be passionate about marketing, creative with the ability to bring new ideas to the table; used to managing a small team and using the full marketing mix within your role.
