Description:
One of the world’s largest publishers of educational and academic books is looking for a new Head of Sales to strengthen their core sales team. This role is home based, with twice monthly travel to the head office in the Home Counties.
The ideal candidate will be experienced at managing a Higher Education sales team - we will consider strong Sales Managers ready for the next step in their career.
Key duties:
- Manage the core Higher Education sales team
- Train, develop and up skill the existing sales team and to drive solution selling
- Provide the strategic direction for the UK, European, and South African sales
- Manage CRM implementation
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers
Experience / skills required:
- Must come from a publishing background (ideally Higher Education)
- Significant prior experience within a successful sales management role
- Significant experience developing business plans, performing market analysis and building/managing budget
- Strong leadership and coaching skills are critical
- You must have exceptional analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
