Our client is a leading provider of high quality translation, interpreting, localization and marketing services for all languages. They are looking to recruit an experienced professional as General Manager to lead their China business based in their Beijing office.

The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO in Australia and have responsibility for all aspects of the China business.  As General Manager you will be expected to develop the client base in China and the Asia-Pacific region, managing and working with the Account Managers to identify, convert and develop new accounts.  The role will involve leading the managers of the Translation, Global Vendor Management and DTP & Engineering teams, strengthening delivery capabilities through innovation and motivation. The GM will have overall management responsibility for a team of 18.  Supervision of finance and admin is expected to take up around 10% of the GM’s time.

The breadth of the services and capabilities across all industry sectors means that the role will be both varied and challenging. It will suit an enthusiastic team player who has a proven track record in localization or related industry and is now ready to take their career to the next stage.  It offers plenty of scope for initiative in a rapidly expanding company with a dynamic, friendly working environment.  Fluency in English and Chinese, with strong written skills in both languages would be highly beneficial.
