Our client, an established and highly successful busy book London publisher with an excellent trade reputation are looking for an experienced Foreign Rights Executive/Manager to start as soon as possible.

You will be looking after a number of international accounts for a minimum of six months or perhaps longer depending if/when the jobholder returns. The publisher produces a range of popular reference titles as well as a successful range of childrens books.

You will be responsible for independently managing rights and co-edition sales in territories that could include a mix of Germany, France, Spain, Asia, South & Central America and Eastern Europe. The specific territories assigned to the Foreign Rights Executive will depend on the candidate’s background.

There are no need for foreign languages, but an additional foreign language would be useful.

You be travelling to your customers as and when required and a key diary date is the Frankfurt Book Fair in October.

We are looking for candidates with around 3 years or more Foreign Rights experience who can hit the ground running managing established business relationships as well as helping to develop a new customer base and identify new opportunities in their assigned territories.

The Foreign Rights Executive will also be able to play an integral part in shaping the publishing program and so you need to be creative, very commercially minded, and responsive to possibilities.
