Are you an experienced scientific editor looking for a challenging new role with a prestigious publishing house? This Editor role provides a rare opportunity to work on highly regarded medical content for the publisher, handling materials published on behalf of an international, independent medical research charity.

The Editor will act as technical editing lead on a new clinical series, a role which requires a high level of autonomy and editorial skill. The position will involve delivering high quality and accurate content scheduled for publication in 2012. The Editor will commission articles as well as edit for accuracy, style and content and manage the peer review process, working closely with the Editor in Chief.  The job will also entail the timely editorial production, management and development of a health economics database product. 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in editing, ideally medical or scientific editing, as well as a passion and knowledge of science.  Applicants should work well autonomously, have great communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate high levels of organisational and project management ability. An understanding of Evidence Based Medicine, Clinical information or Health Economics would be highly advantageous.
