A leading educational publisher based a commutable distance from Central London is looking to recruit a talented Development Editor to join their ELT team.

The purpose of the role is todevelop print and digital products to quality standards, approved budget and schedule.

Key responsibilities of the role include: briefing and mentoring team members of designated products to ensure high quality, keeping documents updated, supporting writers in use of templates and other internal systems, preparing book plans, preliminary art briefs, audio scripts and digital asset as well as content editing and preparing final manuscripts for Design.

The successful candidate will come from an editorial background with solid experience in the field of ELT, linguistics or foreign language teaching. You will be able to interpret market research data and propose ways to implement findings. As this is a research based role there will be some travel required.

You will possess excellent written and verbal communications and excellent interpersonal skills, taking pride in your ability toprioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines. You are a natural problem-solver who enjoys monitoring, collating and summarising key decisions and action points and can communication effectively in team environment.  You will be familiar with digital publishing processes and workflows and act as a  key liaison for freelance contacts.
