Content Development Editor – Science Publishing– Oxfordshire – 2 year fixed-term contract - £Competitive + Benefits – ref: 12392NT

Our client is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Editorial professional to assist and oversee the management and development of their leading research products in the sector of Agriculture, the Environment and Global Health.

As Content Development Editor, the key day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Editing existing content to make it suitable for new products, including writing content as required.
• Commissioning, editing and management of peer review of expert contributions. Additional management of coverage, quality and quantity of other relevant content.
•  Assisting in the creation of other content, such as writing blogs, suggesting reviews, book content and full text additions.
• Liaising with other parts of the company including IT, Sales and Marketing, to ensure the ongoing development of businesses and services for the relevant subject areas.

To be suitable for this Content Development Editor role you will need to be educated to post-graduate degree level in an appropriate scientific discipline. You will also need to have demonstrable experience in either academic or scientific publishing, preferably within the realm of agricultural sciences/applied life sciences.

Some project management experience is essential, using PRINCE2 would be desirable.

You will need to be highly computer literate and have solid understanding of electronic publishing, as well as a creative approach to new product development and excellent communication skills.
