A leading educational publisher based in Gloucestershireis looking for someone to act as team lead for their commissioning editorial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commissioning Editor to take the next step in their career at a forward thinking, award winning educational publisher.

Key duties:

• Ensure that the team successfully delivers the company’s publishing strategy
• Commission new print and electronic products and services
• Adapt existing products and services across a range of subject areas
• Contribute to the development of future publishing strategy
• Maintain an up-to-date awareness of competitor activity and market developments

Experience / skills required:

• Commissioning experience, ideally within educational publishing is required
• Solid understanding of the UK and/or International education markets
• Experience of budget management and a thorough understanding of publishing processes
• A sound knowledge of digital or multimedia products is essential
• A proactive and commercial approach
• Project management and line management experience is desirable
