Description:

A leading international academic publisher based in Oxfordshire, is looking for an experienced and exceptional Senior Editor to work within the Medicine unit of their STM division. The candidate will be responsible for profitable publishing for the postgraduate and professional medical markets.

Key duties:

• Commission new publishing across a range of products
• Ensure the maintenance and growth of profitable publishing
• Represent the list at academic conferences and at sales conferences in the UK and internationally
• Work with colleagues throughout the wider company

Experience / skills required:

• Proven experience of commissioning medical product is essential
• Track record of successful publishing in both print and digital formats
• An ability to work both within a team and independently
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
• Strong commercial instincts are a must
• Experience of managing a large number of major projects simultaneously
