Are you a Development Editor or Commissioning Editor looking for a new challenge in educational publishing? This Commissioning Editor role provides an ideal opportunity to join an established educational publisher, working on their secondary Maths portfolio, developing new content across the full spectrum of their secondary Maths portfolio.

As a Commissioning Editor you will identify and understand the needs of teachers and learners through careful research and subsequently commission relevant print and electronic resources to fulfil those needs. You will manage author and project teams to ensure that products are delivered to market on time and to budget. You will have overall responsibility for your projects as well as contribute to future publishing strategy for the list. 

The ideal candidate will have a sound track record in publishing; will ideally have commissioning experience, preferably gained within the education market. A good understanding of publishing processes for both print and digital products is expected, and applicants must demonstrate commercial awareness, strong relationship building skills, market research ability and excellent organisational skills.  T

hose with previous experience working on Maths resources will have a distinct advantage, but applicants with experience in other related areas will be considered. An A-level in Maths is a prerequisite.
