Is an exciting inhouse Organic Chemistry assistant editor vacancy your next challenge? A prestigious Oxfordshire based academic publisher requires an enthusiastic PhD Chemistry or equivalently qualified candidate to work exclusively on their online chemistry dictionaries, as an Assistant Editor. To be considered for this role, you must be able to say yes to these essential requirements:

• PhD in organic chemistry, related subjects, or equivalent experience
• Solid nomenclature and stereochemical knowledge
• Familiarity with Chemdraw  
• Demonstrated proofing and copyediting skills
• Diplomatic communication skills
• The ability to thrive working under pressure
• Pride and attention to detail across all areas
• Ideally some publishing experience

You will have fantastic opportunity to grow and develop in this role and company, so if you’re looking for to move from science but use your degree and work in publishing, or if you’ve been working freelance and would like to return in house, this could be the perfect next role for you. The role is to be based in their London office, but you will be working closely with colleague in their Oxford and US offices.
