Business Manager - UK & Ireland. An excellent opportunity has come in for an experienced sales professional to join the successful business development team of a respected, academic publishing house based in West Yorkshire. Our client is looking to appoint an ambitious Business Manager for the Academic sector in the UK and Ireland. The position will be based from the company's Yorkshire offices and the successful candidate will have responsibility for a wide portfolio of existing accounts within higher and further education selling a range of electronic and printed resources. Responsibilities include: The sale and renewal of databases to individual organisations on single or multi-year agreements; Achieving and improving upon agreed sales targets (new sales, upsells and retention revenues); Targeting, establishing and negotiating sales with potential consortia (club) groups; Sourcing and prospecting new business leads; Providing customer, market and competitor insight. Ideally, you will have experience within the academic sales market or B2B sales and will have a clear focus on achieving new business growth. Strong influencing skills will be essential as will the motivation to succeed.
