A world leading Educational Publisher is seeking a Business Head to run their Professional Development Institute based in Singapore. Our client’s mission is to give teachers the support they need to become more effective educators. The Business Head will be responsible for business development and growth of the business unit and respond to the trends in education and the changing needs of educators globally.

Reporting to the General Manager in Singapore the Business Head will be responsible for the P&L of the professional development aspect of the business. The main duties would include: identify and develop new business opportunities that would ensure the continued growth of the institute and raise its profile internationally; develop financial models for various collaborations with stakeholders including teacher educators and clients; develop a full range of courses and content together with the Principal/Academic Head of the Institute; business operations management and development of operating processes to facilitate business growth; develop the necessary tools and messages to promote the professional development business to potential clients; work with multiple internal stakeholders to promote the professional development business; and manage and expand a team of talent including internal and external teacher educators.

The successful candidate will have extensive proven experience in business development and management within the Education sector and strong business acumen and interpersonal skills, must be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with multiple stakeholders, and have good organizational skills.
