Description:

Location : Berlin or Netherlands

Salary : €35,000 + Commission

Our client, a leading publisher of information to the library and academic market is looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager to be based in Netherlands or Berlin. 

Responsibilities:

To achieve annual sales targets in territory.
To increase business across the territory.
To monitor activities of distributors in the territory and protect profitability.
To make regular direct contact with customers (approximately 3 days out of 5 visiting customers in the territory).
To demonstrate products to existing and potential customers.
To prepare forecasts, sales analyses, trip reports etc and attend exhibitions/conferences as required.

Experience: 

Previous experience of selling in the territory.
Previous experience within the Publishing sector, especially in Electronic Publishing.
Fluency in at least two European languages, plus English.
Proven ability to work remotely.
Computer literacy and good knowledge of Windows and MS Office.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Professional manner and articulate.
Tenacious.
Ambition and determination to succeed.
Intelligent, fast learner and self starter.
Clean driving licence.
