Our client is a provider of information services to academic institutions, public government, libraries and schools. They are looking to recruit a German speaking Area Sales Manager for their German territory.  This role is based in their Berlin office.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager,the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for all sales activity and the key accounts across Germany, Switzerland and Austria.  Your duties will be to develop existing business relationships and new business opportunities; to plan and implement new business campaigns within the region; to make regular face to face and telephone contact with existing and potential customers; to demonstrate company products; and to attend conferences, exhibitions, seminars and open days.Keeping up to date with all developments in the target industry will also be an essential part of the role.

With fluent language skills in both English and German combined with a passion for sales and a customer focused attitude, the successful candidate will be an ambitious and organised professional with proven sales experience ideally within the electronic publishing sector and will have a proven ability to meet targets.  You will be a self motivated individual with excellent communication and presentation skills along with effective interpersonal skills.  A valid driving license is essential as is willingness to travel and the ability to work remotely and independently.
