Our client is a globally renowned publisher of information services to academic institutions, public government, libraries and schools. They are looking to recruit a German speaking Area Sales Manager for Germany. This role is to be based in their Berlin office.

The Area Sales Manager would be responsible for increasing overall business across Germany. Your duties will be to manage all sales activity and the key accounts within the territory; develop existing business relationships and new business opportunities; to plan and implement new business campaigns within the region; increase the level of subscription renewal across the territory; develop business relationships with key academics; co-ordinate campaigns with the Regional Manager and marketing department; support, manage and motivate distributor activity in the territory; to monitor use and devise means of driving up use of our services within subscribing institutions; to make regular contact with existing and potential customers; to demonstrate company products; and to attend conferences, exhibitions, seminars and open days.

With fluent language skills in both English and German combined with a passion for sales and a customer focused attitude, the successful candidate will be an ambitious and organised professional with proven sales and business development experience ideally in the electronic publishing sector. You will be a self motivated individual with excellent communication and presentation skills along with effective interpersonal skills. A valid driving license is essential as is willingness to travel. In return, the company offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
