A new position has become available for an ambitious and flexible Account Manager in the Home Counties region to join a large, successful and highly regarded global academic publisher. Our client is looking to recruit a confident, proactive and organised Account Manager to drive and maximise sales of their products in the specified South West area.

As a driven Account Manager, the key day-to-day tasks and responsibilities include:

• Strategic growth, development and management of sales within key accounts
• Continue to grow territory sales, exceed targets and develop new business
• Delivering complex solutions for key customers and influencers
• Customer needs analysis
• Product presentations

To be considered for this Account Manager position, you will need to be degree-educated (or equivalent) with experience in a sales focused role ideally within academic publishing and possess strong business acumen. Other industry experience will be considered. Above all the ability to identify commercial opportunities and the creativity to develop accounts is essential.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are fundamental within this role as is flexibility and commitment. You may also need to be comfortable staying away from home when necessary.
