Description:

An established international publisher of online and print publications for the scientific, academic and professional markets is looking for an Account Manager to be based in Central Europe. This role would be responsible for growing sales to institutional customers across a range of countries including former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Albania, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and Armenia.

Key duties:

  • Maintain and grow sales with existing and prospective clients in the territory
  • Have regular contact with all key clients and prospective clients in the territory
  • Work with the wider sales team to prepare, amend and finalise journal price quotes
  • Liaise with the marketing team to plan appropriate marketing activities
  • Attend relevant conferences to build network of contacts
  • Regular and frequent travel within territory, including trips to the UK, Germany and the US

 

Experience / skills required:

  • A high degree of fluency in English and at least one other relevant language is essential
  • Previous sales experience is a must
  • Experience of selling online content would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of sales theory and practice
  • This role requires initiative, ingenuity and creative thinking
