One of the world's largest publishers of academic books and a provider of on-line educational resources is looking to appoint an Academic Sales Consultant to promote their extensive Higher Education list of books and digital products to their South/West Holland territory. Home based in Holland, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as being a proactive part of this successful academic team.
Key responsibilities will include promoting an extensive textbook and electronic product list to university lecturers, higher education institutions and key academic booksellers in the region. You will work closely with the European Sales Manager and other colleagues to further develop your share in the market, whilst taking full responsibility to administer the entire territory, plumbing its opportunities and tapping into its changing demands. Day to day, you will be travelling around the territory, maintaining your contacts and growing the potential, keeping the CRM and other relevant databases up to date to make it a highly relevant and invaluable resource.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Higher Education system in the territory; have fluency in Dutch and English, hold a driver's license and have previous experience in using a CRM program or at least an understanding of the benefits in using one. You must have a proven ability to acquire and use product knowledge and sales techniques to identify and address customer needs. Finally you will need to have a demonstrable record of success.
