Simon Trewin has been made head of the WME UK literary division, taking over the role vacated by Eugenie Furniss in March. Meanwhile agent Elizabeth Sheinkman has also joined WME's London office, working alongside Cathryn Summerhayes.

Jonathan Cape has acquired the new novel by author Joe Stretch, with his previous two novels Friction and Wildlife published as Vintage Originals.
