The National Literacy Trust is again partnering with WH Smith to deliver its Young Readers Programme.
The three-year national partnership, funded by the WH Smith Group Charitable Trust and WH Smith PLC, will encourage over 7,500 children at 25 schools across the UK to develop a love of reading.

WH Smith has said its sale trends are continuing to improve as it reported like-for-like sales down 2% over the last quarter.
The chain bookseller said for the 14 weeks to 7th June 2014, total sales were up in its Travel arm by 4%, but like-for-like sales were flat in comparison to the same period last year.

WH Smith Travel is supporting the Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize by including the eight winning titles in its Recommends promotion.
The winners of the prize will be revealed on 19th June at the Jerwood Space in London and WH Smith Travel will give prominent space to the titles for six weeks from mid-July.

Book sales at WH Smith were down 7%-8% like-for-like in the Christmas trading period.
