Direct bookseller The Book People (TBP) Group recorded a loss of close to £2m in 2008, according to accounts submitted with Companies House, thanks to high interest charges and losses at newly acquired company Index Books. TBP Ltd alone, which does not include results from Index, recorded a loss of more than £1.1m.
