    World rights to Death, Destruction and a Packet of Peanuts by Chris Pascoe have been bought by Tom Bromley at Portico. This was one of the last acquisitions made by Bromley before he left parent group Anova Books. He bought the world rights from Eve White at the Eve White Literary Agency and Portico will publish in Spring 2009.

    Tom Bromley, head of the Portico imprint at Anova, has left the company after taking voluntary redundancy following news that the division's annual list has been cut back from 30 to 20.

    Helen Barnes, publicity manager, has also been made redundant, although she will continue to work at the firm until after Christmas.
