Tim Whiting is to return to the UK in March 2008, as publishing director of Little, Brown and Abacus.

Bloomsbury editor Jenny Parrott is moving to Little, Brown to take up the newly created role of editorial director of Little, Brown/Abacus.
She will be acquiring upmarket fiction particularly for a female readership, and starts in October.

Little, Brown Book Group has acquired independent publisher Piatkus Books. Founder Judy Piatkus will continue as m.d. until the end of the year, when she will retire from publishing.
