Joanne Dickinson, Quercus' paperback publisher, has bought a debut novel based on real events that took place at a "haunted" rectory in the 1920s.
Dickinson acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, in The True Confessions of Lucie Kaye by Neil Spring from Cathryn Summerhayes at WME.

Quercus Publishing has appointed current Sphere and Piatkus fiction publisher Joanne Dickinson to lead its mass market publishing programme.
Dickinson has worked at Little, Brown for the past 13 years, publishing authors including Dorothy Koomson, Jenny Colgan and Nora Roberts.
