The regional shortlists for independent bookshop category at The Bookseller Industry Awards 2013 show more than 30 bookshops competing for the chance to be named the UK’s best independent. Book wholesaler Gardners saw gross profit fall 9.2% in the year to February 2012, with sales dropping 2.9%.
