The Desmond Elliott Prize 2013 is now open for submissions, with the £10,000 prize seeking to reward a first novel from any genre, published between 1st April 2012 and 31st March 2013.

Author Sam Llewellyn is to chair the judging panel for this year's Desmond Elliott Prize, which is celebrating its fifth birthday in 2012.
