Small publishers are concerned about the Guardian's new levy on entering titles for its First Book Award, with several saying they "can't afford" to take part this year.

Inpress has signed up seven new trade publishers for trade representation in the past six months after re-launching a year ago.
The company most recently signed poetry independent Bloodaxe Books, which will move to Inpress for trade representation in England, Scotland and Wales from 1st April.

Jen Hadfield has won the 2008 T S Eliot Prize for Poetry with her second collection Nigh-No-Place (Bloodaxe).
