The Role

We currently have a vacancy for a Content Developer to work on our online, electronic and print products. Reporting to the TSO and Client Publisher, the Content Developer will be instrumental in producing material for TSO products, specifically in the area of ITIL and wider service management. The work will encompass commissioning suitable copy, undertaking writing and editorial tasks as necessary, screening information resources and identifying relevant content from existing literature. The Content Developer will demonstrate a clear understanding of the demands and differences in commissioning and managing content for different media and adapt to the needs of the market.

Accountabilities

• Gain a deep understanding of ITIL and wider service management
• Write suitable content
• Source suitable content
• Assess financial viability of content development and acquisition
• Play an active role in the development of new and existing products so that they are most suited to the market needs
• Work with the Publisher and the Strategic Marketing Manager to develop the content for the product
• Research the marketplace and identify relevant subject areas and content for inclusion
• Identify and commission authors and contributors
• Plan and commission products to a timeline to ensure product growth
• Manage commissioned content so that complete manuscripts and other copy are delivered on time, to the brief, for inclusion in the product
• Liaise with production to ensure schedules and deadlines are achieved
• Liaise with the Marketing Executive to ensure that information is provided in a timely fashion
• Communicate effectively with the Sales team to ensure that product knowledge is passed on
• Present on behalf of TSO at trainer away days and product launches
• Contribute to the development of marketing plans, in conjunction with Sales and Marketing
• Any other related task as required.
