A leading academic book and journal publisher, based in Oxfordshire, is looking to appoint a Production Editor to handle the production of journal titles in Politics & International Relations.

In this role you will: build relationships with authors and academic editors; select, monitor & prepare material for freelance copy editors; check copy-edited manuscripts and coordinate and collate corrections; prepare copy-edited material for typesetting; compile author corrections and proofread material before sending to press; ensure issues are kept to budget and schedule.

With keen attention to detail, you will possess excellent proofreading and copy-editing skills. You will have proven communication & negotiation skills and administrative experience in a busy office environment and ideally you will have some experience in journal publishing, or knowledge of production processes.
