Our client, an international publishing house are looking for an ambitious and motivated editor to join a friendly and successful publishing team. Your core responsibilities will include: building good relationships with a global group of academic editors and learned society contacts, overseeing the financial wellbeing of the journal list, realising opportunities for organic growth, developing electronic products, ensuring that existing contracts are renewed and working seamlessly with colleagues in marketing, production and other departments. You will make presentations at editorial board meetings, prepare financial projections and shall attend conference attendance and deal with telephone calls. The role also has scope for commissioning work, and supporting the acquisition programme of the publisher.
