Our client, an international publishing house are looking for a production editor to manage the publication of a group of titles within the politics and international relations production team. The position involves the production control of a portfolio of academic journals in accrodance with established procedures, house styles, schedules, budgets and quality requirements. Your responsibilities will include chasing academic editors for copy for publication to agreed schedules, checking copy edited manuscripts, selecting and monitoring freelance copy editors, preparing issues for typesetting and coordinating proof despatch, coordination and collating author\'s and editor\'s corrections. You will also coordinate , check and pass issues for press, check bound copies and online issues, monitor and implement schedules and progress chasing. You will build relationships and liaise with academic editors and other external and internal contacts. Quality control throughout the publication process shall be key to this role.
