The Institute of Ismaili Studies is seeking an Editorial/Research Assistant for a dynamic publications unit within the Department of Academic Research and Publications. This is an opportunity to make a contribution, as part of a small international team, to a new series co-published with Oxford University Press.

The successful applicant will assist in the proofreading of transliterated Persian and/ or Arabic texts for QS publications and assist with the QS bibliographical projects and QS University Database Project(s).

The post requires the applicant to have a Bachelors degree in the humanities or social sciences, familiarity of academic knowledge of Arabic, working with academic bibliographies and experience of working for a educational institute/not for profit organisation or NGO.

Strong administrative, organisational, communication and negotiation skills in working with people at all levels would be essential, as well as the flexibility skills to respond to changing priorities within the unit. An excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken) with a keen eye for detail is also required.
