Octopus Publishing Group, part of Hachette Livre, the UK’s largest publisher, requires a dynamic Senior Production Controller to join one of the four teams thatmake up the Production Department.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business in producing books for imprints such as Hamlyn, Godsfield and Gaia.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for over 200 printings per annumwith a wide and varied portfolio including simplemono paperbacks, four colour hardbacks and complex novelty titles. Our supplier base is worldwide, but thorough knowledge of the Far East printmarket is essential.

To be successful youwill have proven book production capabilities and a thorough understanding of dealingwith co-editions.With high standards of organisation, creativity and ameticulous eye for detail you will have proven up-to-date technological understanding of repro and book printing processes.Well-honed negotiation, communication and numeric skills are amust as is dynamism, enthusiasmand the ability to get things done effectively and efficiently.
