A leading children’s publisher based in West London is looking to recruit a talented and motivated Designer to work on their prestigious list of preschool novelty titles and paperback picture flats.

This is a key position, reporting directly to the Colour Manager and responsibilities will include: working closely with editorial to interpret and fulfil design briefs; executing and overseeing colour interiors and jackets; commissioning artists and freelance designers; guiding and overseeing projects from concept to production and attending a variety of meetings with internal departments and outside agencies.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within children’s publishing, ideally with some experience of pre-school novelty product, the ability to work to agreed budgets and schedules, confidence in commissioning artists and freelance designers and good market awareness. In addition you will have good creative design skills, excellent software skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects effectively.
