Working for this international publishing house based in Oxfordshire who are one of the market leaders in their field.  Senior Editors will be expected to work with a high level of autonomy, provide some leadership and work well as a team member in project teams. Senior Editors work closely with market planning and authors to provide a "content lead" on complex projects. Senior Editors may mentor more junior editors to help them develop their skills and knowledge. Work closely with Market Planning and authors to develop typescript and electronic templates to meet market needs and learner success better than our competitors. Develop a high level of market and curriculum knowledge in order to contribute to the CVP of our products and understand our competitors’ CVPs. Ensure content development delivers project brand values. Demonstrate high-level skills in development/structural editing in complex projects including print and electronic materials and user documentation. Understand different business expectations and priorities when negotiating with authors, freelancers and third parties to ensure schedules and budgets are adhered to. Develop, set and monitor editorial budgets for each project. Potential candidates will have strong communication skills both written and verbal. Able to use industry standard copy-editing and proof reading conventions. Effective use of time to meet deadlines , lead with creative and innovative ideas
