This prestigious publishing house based in Oxfordshire are currently seeking editorial candidates, our client is a global leader within their field, publishing books and e-learning resources. Managing Editors will take responsibility for seeing a range of projects (print and electronic) through production, briefing and monitoring freelancers as appropriate and maintaining good relations with authors. Managing Editors work increasingly independently with less support as they gain the skills and knowledge to do this. They work well as team members in project teams. They take responsibility for ensuring their schedules and budgets are adhered to. Achieve and maintain a good level of market awareness, competitors’ CVPs and curriculum knowledge in order to understand the factors needed for learners to succeed and ensure content development delivers project brand values. Candidates should have the ability to demonstrate a good level of planning, skills and knowledge of the processes required to develop content on print and electronic materials and user documentation, and use freelancers as appropriate to ensure editing and proofreading are completed to a high standard. Good communication skills, highly-developed use of English language, strong command of grammar and spelling
