A prominent academic publisher, based in Oxford, is looking to recruit a Marketing Executive to join its professional marketing division.

The jobholder will work on both books and journals and will work closely with authors, editors, editorial board members and internal editorial and marketing colleagues. The Marketing Executive will be responsible for compiling and implementing marketing plans for books and journals on time and within budget. Their responsibilities will also include marketing activities such as conferences, special events, e-marketing, direct mail, advertising and press releases.

Applicants should be educated to degree level, or equivalent, with some marketing experience within a commercial setting. Experience of creating marketing campaigns and a demonstrable commitment to marketing are essential. A knowledge or familiarity of publishing or the publishing process would be an advantage.
