One of the world’s largest and most successful higher and further education publishers has a vacancy for a Production Editor (Electronic and Print) to join their busy team initially on a one year contract.

Within this role you will project manage textbooks and electronic resources. This will entail scheduling projects, briefing suppliers and freelancers, desk editorial work and working closely with in-house personnel.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working as a Production Editor or Production Assistant and have a good knowledge of 4 colour illustrated book production processes with a desire to further their career in Production. You will ideally have experience of working in an online publishing environment with a good technical understanding of the internet including HTML and XML, though this is not essential. You must have strong organisational and communication skills, a basic command of copy-editing and meticulous attention to detail.
