Are you an entrepreneurial individual with bags of enthusiasm? A leading UK publisher is looking to appoint a Sales Development Manager to develop and manage new and current business for both existing titles and bespoke concepts in non-traditional markets eg travel, media, non-traditional retail, corporates, FMCG brands and entertainment. Responsibilities will include: pro-actively developing contacts and increasing awareness within new channels to market; managing existing retail and media accounts; arranging and delivering presentations to media companies, corporates, travel, retail etc; researching and pursuing opportunities pro-actively (with a degree of cold calling); managing all aspects of sales from concept of idea to delivery of product, liaising and working closely with the Project Manager, Production, Editorial, Sales, and Design teams; and working on other specific promotional projects (eg green promotion for corporates). Although this is a pro-active sales role, applicants should have worked previously in sales and/or business development and have very strong account management skills and a high level of commercial awareness.
