Working for this international publishing house as a Marketing Executive in a Maternity Cover role for initially 7 months. Working within the books division they have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Executive to take responsibility for maximising the sales and profitability of a variety of subject areas: Literature, Language Learning and English Language and Linguistics. The successful candidate will have prior experience in a publishing marketing environment, and will be able to demonstrate commercial awareness, line management skills, a customer-focused approach, an innovative and proactive approach to marketing, adaptability and flexibility and sound decision-making skills. Knowledge of direct mail, textbook marketing, e-marketing, and an interest in one or more of the subject areas would be desirable. A member of the marketing team with responsibility for proactively maximising the sales and profitability of specified lists, with additional responsibility for a specialist area on behalf of the profit centre. A senior team member with increased levels of accountability, responsibility and support. Strong communication skills and a confident and articulate manner required along with good marketing skills having worked within the publishing sector.
