The job: A leading publisher of primary curriculum software is looking to appoint a Project Manager to lead a small team in the creation of high quality electronic products. The company is committed to innovation in e-learning and the development of high quality information and communication technologies and has been finalists in key prestigious awards. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager who also has a passion for creating first class educational software. The focus will be on ensuring that high quality content is commissioned and developed in a cost effective and timely manner according to the possibilities and constraints of the electronic medium. Responsibilities include managing schedules, budgets and quality processes for the content creation, ensuring successful integration into the software and liaising with developers and technical staff.  

The person: Candidates will need a minimum of two years’ experience in software project management ideally with a background in managing the development of educational software and or content for CD-Rom and or web. Sound project planning, organisation and management ability, plus excellent communication and presentation skills are important requirements for this key role. The person appointed will ideally have a good understanding of the specialist primary education market and will demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm and drive, together with a positive approach to team working.

Salary: c. £27 – 29k
