The successful candidate will be expected to engage completely with the commissioning, production and sales/marketing teams and will bring to the party:

·         A thorough knowledge of the commissioning, developing, cost base, producing and selling of high-quality illustrated books for a worldwide audience.

·         An interest going beyond an ability to manage a programme: a positive commitment to the creative diversity of the existing and developing list.

·         Strong people skills, allied to training and motivation of staff, guidance where necessary for authors, and diplomacy in relations with other departments.
