Our client, a global leader in educational publishing is currently looking for an experienced Rights Executive to join its busy team based in North London.

The main purpose of this position will be to drive license sales (mostly translation) across the expanding list. You will be using your negotiation skills with senior colleagues in leading companies in territories such as Asia, the Middle East and parts of Eastern Europe.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Creating and implementing promotional campaigns
• Negotiating terms for rights licenses
• Generating paperwork and contracts for successful deals
• Increasing rights sales of new and backlist titles to both existing and new customers
• Attending business trips, conferences and book fairs when required

This role would suit someone with the following attributes:

• Someone with a background in rights licensing sales
• Cultural awareness, with a fluency in at least one other language
• Commercial mindedness, and an ability to forecast and meet sales targets
• Excellent administrative skills, and IT literacy
• A self-motivated, team-player
